CRKT Announces New Leadership Positions

CRKT just announced organizational changes that affect the sales, marketing, and product development responsibilities of the company. Former VP of Sales and 12 year CRKT veteran Doug Flagg is transitioning into the new role of Vice President of Marketing & Innovation, where he will lead marketing and take a more active role in product development. Matt McCormick has been brought on as the new Vice President of Sales.

In his new job, McCormick will manage the CRKT Sales Team and devise and implement channel strategies for the company. Although new to CRKT, McCormick has made a career in the sporting goods industry, with time spent at Cobra-Puma, Nike, and other industry leaders. “It’s not often you find a company with such great products,” McCormick says. “I’m thrilled to be a part of the CRKT team.”

CRKT President Mark Schreiber says McCormick’s history of industry success makes him a natural fit for the job. “Matt’s collaborative management style, experience with many of our key accounts and channels, and history of delivering successful results throughout his career will serve him well in this position.”

In his new role as VP of Marketing & Innovation, Doug Flagg will take charge of the marketing team to steer CRKT’s brand identity. He will also work more directly than ever with knife designers to develop new products. The company has emphasized designer collaboration from the start, and Flagg says he’s looking forward to setting the course for CRKT’s product road map. “Product is my passion! My new position will enable me to work more closely with our designers to bring cutting edge products to market that will lead the industry.”
