The Fox FX-528 TUR, designed by Jesper Voxnes, is a confident yet minimalist folder with an Elmax blade just under 3 inches. Solid, contoured carbon fiber scales and a liner lock help keep the package lightweight. Hard to put this one down.

It’s a wrap at the Fox Knives booth. Next stop? Benchmade!

Fans of combat knife history will recognize this time-honored combative knife design. The Fox Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife lives up to Fox’s high quality standards and extreme attention to detail. Collectors and users interested in a Fairbairn Sykes shouldn’t overlook this incredible rendition.

Fox is known for producing popular karambits, and in 2017 the company is passing the baton to the Black Bird to keep its fortunes going. With a wave-style opener, deep thumb divot, and sturdy construction this knife can blur the line between self-defense and general utility applications.

The Bastinelli designed Fox Shadow lives up to its name with a blacked-out blade and a choice of carbon fiber or black G-10 handle scales. With its acute point and exaggerated fuller, it’s safe to call its 3.9” blade a ‘tactical wharncliffe.’

Next up is a knife we’ve seen before thanks to a preview provided by designer Tashi Bharucha. The new Fox Phoenix prototype got a lot of attention and was one of the most popular stories of October.

But what we didn’t know was that this masculine statement piece would also come in an equally attractive matte bronze anodized titanium.

As you’ll soon see, Fox Knives brought an impressive spread to SHOT Show this year. But even on a counter full of eye candy, the cocobolo handle of new FX-529 TUR Fixed Blade was the first thing to jump out at us.

The fixed blade companion to the FX-528, the 529 is a high-end outdoor utility knife. We found it to be comfortable and well balanced in hand with beautiful finishing on this Maniago made fixed blade.

The crowds are noticeably more sparse to kick-off Day 2 of SHOT Show here at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. Is it because buyers are still trying to recoup last night’s losses at the craps tables?

We’ll probably never know but we’ve already started shooting videos of the new for 2017 Fox Knives line up. Coming right up!
