Back in November, Boris Shekhman, Director of Steel Will Knives told us the company would be introducing value folders with an MSRP under $50 starting with the new Cutjack. And early in the new year we learned that Steel Will had invented a patent pending linerless lock called the Ant-Lock making its debut on the new Steel Will F12. With everything they have planned, 2017 could be the break-out year for Steel Will.

Time to check out the new models and start shooting some video.

Arriving at the Sands Expo Center here in Las Vegas and it’s much more crowded than yesterday. Day 3 of SHOT Show is the day dealers start placing bets on what they think is going to sell and work out some deals with the brands exhibiting knives.

Steel Will is coming right up!

Day 2 of SHOT Show 2017 is in the books and we’re already looking forward to starting off Day 3 at the Steel Will Knives booth to try out their patent pending linerless Ant Lock.

It’s well past our deadline so we’ll end the day with the new Matt Diskin designed Kershaw Deadline. This is a rare manual opener in the Kershaw lineup. It’s worth mentioning that the Deadline features the same KVT bearing system seen on high-end ZTs. The new knife’s two-tone wharncliffe blade also really pops.

Kershaw’s Launch series has been a huge commercial success, so it came as no surprise to see a new addition in 2017. Designed by Tim Gaylean, the Launch 7‘s action is startling the first time you deploy it. Hold on tight – the 7’s blade rockets out of the handle at the push of the recessed button.

The Kershaw Reverb is the sleekest and one of the smallest knives in the new for 2017 Kershaw lineup. The Reverb features a built in carabiner and a G-10 front scale with carbon fiber overlay on the show side. Turn it over and you’ll find an interesting internal frame lock mechanism.
