4-inch Meatcrafter Added to Benchmade CSTM Lineup

Benchmade has just added one of their fixed blade models to their custom knife builder lineup, and it’s the Meatcrafter 4″. The purpose-built, compact carving blade can now be ordered with different blade and handle options tailored to the buyer’s taste.

The Meatcrafter has been part of Benchmade’s lineup since the summer of 2020, when they released the original, 6-inch blade version of the knife. It stood out from other Benchmade fixed blades because it was meant to be a premier, high-end meat-working knife, doing everyone from field prep to tableside slicing (although definitely with a wash in-between). The Meatcrafter was the first in a series of culinary-focused designs from the company and, since release, Benchmade been adding to the line every so often, with alterations to size, blade steel, and handle material.

Now that the 4-inch version of the Meatcrafter has been added to the CSTM line, it can be modified before purchase in all sorts of ways, some performance-related, most cosmetic. There are blade steel options here, although only two: either CPM-154 or 440C. The CPM option has further sub-options for blade finish, with a stonewash, polished blade, or black coating all offered.

Things get a little more diverse when it comes to tweaking the scales and hardware. The Meatcrafter 4″ handle, with its reverse bolster design, is a good canvas to mix and match different colors of G-10 or Richlite; carbon fiber is on offer too but, if you choose that, both the scale and bolster portions are made from it. Next step will be to attend to the finer details: the color of the lanyard hole ring (we recommend orange), and whether or not you want any laser etching on the front or back blade flats.

The Meatcrafter 4″ CSTM is available now. It’s been a busy month for Benchmade; this follows close on the heels of the MagnaCut Osborne models and the PSK.
