The Lionsteel SR1 is a modern classic that continues to influence knives in the industry. In 2017, LionSteel is surprising fans with a flipper version called the SR11. Whether you choose titanium or aluminum, the SR11 retains Lionsteel’s pioneering Solid integral handle construction.

The original LionSteel Daghetta is a popular and affordable knife from the premium brand. The new Big Daghetta takes the original design and makes it, well, bigger. But even with a beefy 3.75” single-edged dagger blade the Big Daghetta feels trim. What LionSteel calls its Tactical Operation Lock system offers a satisfying action, too.

Don’t want to be rude and interrupt an important OEM deal. On the other hand, we’ve been looking forward to seeing what Gianni Pauletta and his team at LionSteel have in store for 2017 and we’ve got a NewsFeed to run here. Sorry Gianni!

LionSteel-Booth-Shot

We end our time at the Benchmade booth with the Show special. There won’t be a sequel to this limited edition Benchmade Sequel. It features sculpted handles in striking Benchmade blue and is available only for buyers to order at SHOT Show 2017. Watch for it to hit the pages of KnifeCenter.com very soon.

Next stop? LionSteel!

The Valet has always been a dressy little folder, but this Gold Class rendition takes it to the next level. Purple isn’t a color you often see on a knife, but in this case it really works. The Damasteel blade makes this Valet a pretty solid performer too – if you could ever bring yourself to use it.

Benchmade got its start in the knife world in 1987 making balisongs, and they’re marking the company’s 30th Anniversary by introducing the model 87. Even if you don’t have the skills (yet), the 87’s single piece titanium handles, ball bearing pivot, and wharncliffe blade makes the 87 a knife you can’t help but want to flip.

OTFs can sometimes be on the wide side, but the Phaeton is surprisingly slim, not to mention lightweight. Benchmade’s excellent deep carry pocket clip is icing on the cake. Overall, a great EDC option for anyone permitted to carry an automatic.
