Latest We Releases are New Slipjoint and Civivi Folder Trio

Ahead of whatever else they may be bringing to SHOT Show this week, We already has some new releases inbound. An unusual slipjoint collaboration and three Civivi folders are all on their way.

MRF

The name MRF is the first We collaboration with maker Markus Reichart. It’s on the larger side for a slipjoint, with a blade length of 3.44 inches. Made from S35VN, the MRF’s blade shape is a broad drop point that mimics that of Reichart’s custom fixed blades. Indeed, the whole knife appears to echo those fixed blades, with a roomy handle very much in line with the custom predecessors as well. The MRF’s scales are made from marbled carbon fiber, which helps keep the weight down on this mid-sized knife. It weighs 3.32 oz. and has a deep carry pocket clip.

Civivi Folders

Alongside the MRF slipjoint We also debuted a trio of liner lock Civivi folders.

The Chronic is the smallest of the bunch, with a 9Cr18MoV clip blade running to 3.22 inches in length. A flipper tab is the only method of opening the Chronic. Its handle is rectangular and narrow, and consists of stainless steel liners overlaid with shaped G-10 scales available, in the typical We/Civivi manner, in multiple colors.

Up next is the Picaro, a significantly larger knife. Its 3.94-inch blade opens via thumb cutout and is made from D2 semi stainless steel. The Picaro’s handle comes with coarse G-10 scales and is a bit curvier than the angular Chronic’s, but retains its spirit of simplicity, with no extraneous embellishments. It weighs 3.99 oz.

Rounding out the trio is the Lynchpin, which just manages to beat out the Picaro in blade length with its 3.96-inch drop point blade; also, it shares that knife’s coarse G-10 handle scales. The Lynchpin sports two opening methods, giving users the choice between flipper or cutout. Its blade steel is D2, and it weighs 5.29 oz.
