Makers and Fans Saddle up for Blade Show Texas

Blade Show is here – Blade Show Texas, that is. Kicking off on St. Patrick’s Day, Blade Show Texas, like it’s bigger brother in Atlanta, gathers together hundreds of makers and fans for a weekend-long event.

In terms of exhibitors, Blad Show Texas hosts an interesting cross-section of the knife world. There’s a major emphasis on custom makers, with names like Brad Zinker, Chuck Gedraitis, and Peter Carey in attendance. Then you have the high-end production knife component: Hinderer, Emerson, Southern Grind, Tactile Knife Co. are all present and accounted for. The mid- to entry-level production scene is less comprehensive, but there are a few heavy hitters coming, most notably CRKT but also Civivi, Rike, and Kansept.

Furthermore, and appropriately enough given its location, Blade Show Texas has a major ‘cowboy culture’ component. Makers of non-knife products, such as leather goods, will be on hand to showcase their stuff as well. And all of this is on top of a series of free demonstrations, including a knife critique where you can bring a piece of your own and have it evaluated by professionals.

Blade Show Texas will be running today and tomorrow, from 10am to 6pm Central Time both days.
