Kizer Creates Special Sith Stormtrooper Feist

Next Friday, Kizer will be dropping a one-off variation of the ever-popular Feist model through their Friday Club program. The Sith Stormtrooper Feist, as they’re calling it, comes with a Star Wars-inspired color scheme , and blade and handle materials that are new to the Feist family.

Justin Lundquist‘s Feist design established him as a talent to watch in the knife world – a reputation that he delivered on with a series of production collaborations and solo projects since then. But this little front flipper is where it all began, and like many popular knives it has seen a not insignificant number of variations throughout the years, including different blade shapes, handle materials, and blade steels.

When it comes to the Sith Stormtrooper Feist, however, the only thing we’ve seen before is the blade shape; this is the wharncliffe-style blade that has been around almost as long as the drop point original. Opening is done, as it always has been, with a front flipper; there are a couple different ways to use the Feist’s flipper but we’ve always rolled our thumb back over it. The blade steel is CPM-3V, an interesting choice for a small EDC knife like the Feist. Typically, semi-stainless 3V appears on outdoors fixed blades or big folders, thanks to its extremely high toughness. That being said, it is certainly capable of worthy EDC performance, and for many collectors and enthusiasts, the variety will be appealing in and of itself.

The handle, meanwhile, is made from neither titanium (as with the original), or G-10 (which we’ve seen on some variants), but aluminum. And not just any aluminum – these scales have been anodized a dark red, emblazoned front and back with images of, presumably, Sith Stormtrooper helmets. We here at KnifeNews haven’t checked in with the Star Wars franchise since the Clone Wars days, so we’re just going to assume this image will mean something to those following the newer films.
