TOP 25 POCKET KNIVES THAT ARE INDISPENSABLE: #18 Zero Tolerance 0350
Brought to you by KnifeCenter.com
In June, we took a survey to learn which pocket knives our readers believe should never be discontinued. Respondents were asked to name as many or as few pocket knife models as they wanted, and no brands or blades were off-limits. 404 respondents named a total of 268 models and the average respondent named 4.1 pocket knives. 28 out of 404 respondents said the Zero Tolerance 0350 should never be discontinued.
When Zero Tolerance began producing knives in 2006, two of the first blades they rolled out were the ZT0200, a Ken Onion design, and the ZT0301, a Mick Strider design. It was only a matter of time before these two superstar knife makers worked together on a blade for ZT. The result of this partnership was the ZT0350, a harmonious, useful knife, and one of ZT’s most enduring and popular models.
The ZT0350 is a substantial knife, but still a smaller version of the massive ZT0300. Although Zero Tolerance began as a specialty line for LEO and military users, they also began to gain traction with civilians, who were clamoring for more pocketable knives that still had all of the glorious USA-made overbuilt attitude that ZT was known for. With its wide, aggressive blade, super stout liner lock, and authoritative SpeedSafe deployment, the ZT0350 was just what the doctor ordered.
The ZT0350 can be had with a plain or a partially-serrated blade in a variety of finishes. There were a few special edition versions, including an orange G-10 or brown aluminum-handled model, but these are now only available on the secondary market.
