Kershaw 2025 Product Release #1 Coincides with SHOT Show

Last night we wrote about the two new ZTs out this year. Tonight, we’re looking at the incoming models from its sister brand, Kershaw. The new blades include new entry level models, premium releases, and line expansions for other popular recent pieces.

Launch Iridium

The standard Iridium was part of the first batch of DuraLock knives that Kershaw released around this time in 2023. It was a rock solid entry in the company’s bread and butter, sub-$100 user knife category, and has gotten a few variations since then. Now it’s making the jump from the standard lineup into the Launch series of single-action automatic knives. The button-deployed blade is made from MagnaCut, so there will be a notable increase in performance over the standard Iridium flavors, in addition to the action.

Kindred

“Kindred” is an apt name for a knife that has a reassuring, comfy familiarity to it. This is a straightforward EDC knife, with a 3-inch D2 blade riding on a manual, ball bearing-powered pivot action. It should also please the fidget fiends in the audience with its button lock.

Broadside

This is a bigger – well, we won’t say “brother,” since it isn’t an exact replica of the Kindred, but perhaps a cousin, with a very similar no-nonsense aesthetic and blade shape. However, the Broadside is bigger, and it trades in the button lock for a DuraLock crossbar mechanism.

Reverse Tanto Livewire

There are a few other new blade shapes and colorations for existing Kershaw models in this 2025 product release #1, but the big standout in that segment is this new variant of their Livewire model. The upswept reverse tanto blade is once again made from MagnaCut, so the performance will be on point if you’re looking to take this one out for a utility spin.
