Production AUX MFG Pocket Rocket Lands Through Boker

Auxiliary Manufacturing continues full steam ahead, and is about to see its first production collaboration model through Boker. When it arrives with dealers, the Boker Plus Pocket Rocket will be the first-ever production version of an AUX Mfg. design.

Boker, a company with what may be the largest and most diverse catalog in the business, has done a little bit of everything; however, as a self-defense dagger, the Pocket Rocket is still somewhat unusual within the sea of Boker designs. With 5 total inches of cutting edge, its symmetrical dagger blade means business – and is made from a very business-like steel too, hardworking D2 semi-stainless.

The Pocket Rocket tucked neatly into its little sheath

In our ’22 interview with AUX Mfg. founder and maker Michael Jarvis, he made it clear that sound ergonomic principles form the backbone of any knife he designs. The Pocket Rocket presents interesting challenges in that regard given its particular blade to handle ratio, but it looks like Jarvis answered those challenges with a symmetrical handle with a narrow waist and a larger, thicker pommel area.

As on his own handmade pieces, the scales – made from G-10 – have been given a sort of flint arrowhead-style chiseling, a move that is undoubtedly stylish but also practical, functioning much like chamfering would and give the Pocket Rocket a more rounded, three-dimensional grip profile. The knife does not weigh much at all – just 2.33 oz. – and it comes with the de facto Kydex pancake sheath.

This one is landing next month: July 5th according to Boker.
