KnifeNews Dealers’ Choice Awards to Recognize the Best of 2017

Presented by: Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpeners

KnifeNews is thrilled to announce our second annual Dealers’ Choice Awards to recognize the best new production knives of 2017. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsor Work Sharp Knife & Tool Sharpeners, tomorrow KnifeNews will begin announcing the best knives of 2017 according to the leading knife dealers in North America.

Situated between manufacturers and end-users, knife dealers are in the best position to evaluate the hundreds of new products offered this year. They attend the shows, they decide what to carry on their shelves, and they closely monitor what sells and what’s being returned. To be a great knife dealer you have to have an intimate understanding of and passion for knives. Since there is no one better qualified than knife dealers to determine the best of the best, knife makers and designers tell us winning a Dealers’ Choice Award is already among the greatest honors in the industry.

Like in 2016, this year’s Dealers’ Choice Awards will recognize achievement across 10 different categories to cover as much of the new production knives as possible. With that goal in mind, two changes have been made over last year’s awards. The “Best New Fixed Blade for EDC” and “Best New Assisted-Opening Folder” categories are replaced with “Best New Multitool” and “Best New High-End Production Knife.”

If you’ve been wondering what the very best knives of 2017 are, visit KnifeNews starting tomorrow, Monday, November 13th. We’re kicking things off by announcing the Winner of the Best New Tactical Fixed Blade of 2017 (see nominees below).
