Officer Hakes, Recipient of the 2016 Freedom’s Point Award

Knife Rights kicks off Blade Show 2016 by doling out a couple awards. The Freedom’s Point Award was given to Police Officer Travis C. Hakes for helping repeal Wisconsin’s switchblade ban. The Freedom’s Guardian Award was given to Hogue for its continued support of the Knife Rights cause.

What did Benchmade bring to Blade Show 2016? The same 2016 line-up they brought to SHOT Show in January… AND this new Gold Class 810-161 with a stunning carbon fiber laminate blade to match the carbon fiber handle. Only 30 of these very limited edition blades will be produced. Be sure to get an eyeful at Booth #1.

Steel Will Knives unveiled five new polished flipper prototypes in a variety of handle materials, all still unnamed. The company built its reputation with large outdoors fixed blades and the new flippers signal a growing emphasis on the folder/EDC market. If you’re in the neighborhood stop by Booth #313 – they are well worth checking out.
