Blade Show 2023: Civivi Elementum Gets Second Fixed Blade Variant

And we’re off! The doors of Atlanta’s Cobb Galleria have opened and the summer’s big event is in full swing. Naturally we’ve got a lot to cover, starting with a few from Civivi. Incoming releases from the company include a new tactical knife and a sequel to their fixed blade Elementum.

Incisor

We probably don’t need to tell you this is the “tactical” release alluded to above. The Incisor II is so called because it is a Civivi-ized sequel to an older, discontinued WE Knife Co. model. It’s a karambit design, by the books on a fundamental level but with a clean, modern style laid on top. The blade length is 2.02 inches, making this a pretty small knife overall, but it has a pretty pronounced curve, maximizing the particular pulling and cutting qualities of the hawkbill shape.

The Incisor II is made from Nitro-V blade steel and opens two ways: with either a flipper (riding, as usual, on ceramic ball bearings), or a removable thumb ramp that looks like it might be able to pocket-deploy the knife during retrieval, a la the Emerson wave opener. The scalloped handle is made from aluminum; the mechanism keeping the blade open and closed is the increasingly common button lock. The Incisor II weighs 3.28 oz.

Mini Elementum Fixed Blade

Civivi continues to riff on the ever-popular Elementum design, with this new fixed blade. A sequel of sorts to the original Elementum fixed blade which came out in 2021, the Mini Elementum Fixed Blade is smaller than any Elementum other than mini frame lock version. The Nitro-V drop point blade measures 2.24 inches, making it an obvious choice for everyday carry or backup outdoors knife. The full tang construction is punctuated by two-part onlays on each side, made from either brown Micarta, black G-10, or, if you go for the ritzy Damascus blade model, carbon fiber.

Civivi says these bad boys are en route for a July release.
