Get Ready: SHOT Show 2024 Opens up Next Week

While it’s hard to believe that another year has already passed, doesn’t it seem like we’re overdue for SHOT Show? Maybe it’s just us. Regardless, the first big knife event of the year is arriving right on time, running through the last full week of January and, presumably, becoming a hot spot for new for 2024 knife reveals.

Blade Show is certainly the biggest dedicated knife show but SHOT, while technically a firearms show, attracts all the major knife companies, and many of the mid- and small-size ones as well; and because it takes place at the beginning of the year, it’s an ideal opportunity for these companies to show off what they’ve got planned for the upcoming 12 months.

What all will be there? It’s hard to say. In fact, some of the biggest new may come out just ahead of the show itself; some companies, notably CRKT, have already dropped their 2024 product lines, with the SHOT being a place for dealers to get their hands on them for the first time. In between this week and next we wouldn’t be surprised if a few other of the big names follow suit. Last year Spyderco dropped a product reveal ahead of SHOT so we’ve got our feelers out for that.

There are always surprises, however. Last year Benchmade dropped the Narrows, a super thin premium folder. Buck tends to wait till SHOT for its major reveals, as do the heavy hitting Italian makers like LionSteel and Fox. Regardless of where and when the news comes, we’ll be doing our usual thing and covering everything we can here at KnifeNews.
