Reiff Knives Outdoors Duo Hits the Streets Today

Reiff Knives, a relatively new fixed blade outfit based in Dallas, Texas, pulled the ripcord on their latest drop today. Two Reiff knife models are out in the wild now, a pair of fixed blades emphasizing the practical, no-nonsense roots of outdoor knife design, paired to high-end fit and finish and materials.

F4

First up in today’s batch is the F4. This knife’s super clean lines tell you all you need to know about its purpose. The handsome 4-inch blade sports that classic drop point shape, flat ground and capable of slicing, biting into wood, bushcraft chores, field dressing and more. Reiff even points out that this relatively compact all-arounder can be carried around town if a full sized EDC fixed blade is your style.

The F4’s blade is made from CPM-3V, one of the heavyweights in the outdoor game, thanks in no small part to its bar-setting toughness and ability to withstand impact and other abuse. The full, 3D-contoured handles scales laid on top of the full tang frame can be made from either black, green, or tan G-10.

F6

The F6 has much in common with its smaller stablemate. It’s made from the same steel, comes in the same handle material options, and features the same stripped down, back-to-basics design. And while it too is a bushcraft-centric outdoors tool, it falls into an entirely different classification thanks to its beefed up design.

This is Reiff’s take on the leuku, which is itself the bigger, burlier brother of the puukko we’re all familiar with. The 5.75-inch blade is both poised and burly, with a wide profile and strong sabre style grind to give that 3V edge some serious resiliency. The gamut of bushcrafting chores are on the table with this one, particularly ones that require some mass behind the swing, like chopping.

Both the F4 and F6 are available now at KnivesShipFree and Reiff’s other select dealers. Their knives are produced in batches so if you’ve been waiting for one, or they catch your eye, the clock is ticking.
