It’s no secret that Kizer knows titanium, but the Desert Dog demonstrates a mastery of carbon fiber. This ABS Master Bladesmith Michael Vagnino design is both simple and distinctive.

The Uprising‘s angular blade complements the handle and seems like it would be an amazing cutter. And the flipping action? As good as it gets.

The first blade Kizer’s David Sun decides to show us is a knife he told us about back in December. The Megatherium is truly one of a kind. It may be a little big for a gent’s folder, but it’s hard not to appreciate the Santoku styling.

Had a hard time finding the Kizer booth even though it is at the exact same place as last year. Easy to get turned around at SHOT Show, especially on Day 3 or 4. Close-up videos on the way!

The new for 2017 Aftershock still has that classic Emerson attitude but in a more refined package. As you can tell the action is superb – nearly lost a finger letting this blade fall shut – call it an occupational hazard.

Had enough time before our Kizer meeting to stop by the Emerson booth. They’ve got a new knife called the Aftershock. Video is in the works.

We’re wrapping things up at the Steel Will booth with the F15. This large gentleman’s folder sports a 3.6-inch D2 Blade and will be available in both anodized aluminum and a carbon fiber and titanium combo.

Steel Will Knives started out by making fixed blade knives, but in 2017 they’re diving head first into the EDC deep end with an onslaught of distinctive new folders.

Next stop? Kizer!
