Top 25 Best Selling Blades of 2017: #14 Cold Steel Knives Steel Tiger Karambit

TOP 25 BEST SELLING BLADES OF 2017: #14 Cold Steel Knives Steel Tiger Karambit
Presented by KnifeCenter.com

With its curved, talon-like blade and pinky ring, the Steel Tiger Karambit takes on the intimidating form of a classic karambit, but Cold Steel’s interpretation of the ancient Indonesian blade gives it a modern tactical update.

Designed by Cold Steel President Lynn Thompson in collaboration with the late custom knife maker Steven Likarich, the Tiger Karambit is one of the largest on the market. “The Steel Tiger is an awesome Cold Steel blade because its cutting power is phenomenal,” Thompson tells us. “Unlike other production karambits on the market, ours is designed based on the true design intent for a karambit, where the point goes in first, then the edge is pulled though.”

With a broad five-inch blade that curves to a hypodermic tip fixed to a plastic and rubber overmolded handle, there’s no lock to fail and no time wasted in blade deployment. A lightweight secure-ex sheath rounds out the package.

ABOUT THE COUNTDOWN
The TOP 25 Best Selling Blades of 2017 is based on a ranking of year-to-date dollar sales per day of all non-kitchen cutlery at KnifeCenter.com. The Virginia-based dealer stocks the largest catalog of cutlery in the world and serves the most diverse customer base of any knife retailer.

We chose to remove knives available only at KnifeCenter.com from consideration. KnifeCenter.com Exclusives that would have otherwise made the list include:
the HAP40 Spyderco Delica in Mahogany Pakkawood
the HAP40 Spyderco Endura in Mahogany Pakkawood
the s35vn Orange Southard Positron
the s35vn Tanto Andre De Villiers Beast Flipper
the KnifeCenter.com Svord Peasant Knife Exclusives

Certain knives available for pre-order, namely the ZT 0055, Benchmade 87, and DPx HEST/F Urban were also purposefully excluded even though based on pre-orders it’s clear they are among the year’s most popular.
