TOP 25 BEST SELLING BLADES OF 2017: #18 Mora Companion
Presented by KnifeCenter.com
The iconic Mora Companion works so well and costs so little that it has become practically ubiquitous among campers, outdoorsmen, craftsman, and anyone looking for a simple, comfortable, and capable fixed blade. Today, Mora embraces modern steels and manufacturing processes, but their no-fuss approach to knife making is still rooted in centuries-long Swedish tradition.
To honor the occasion of their 125th year in business, Morakniv released a special Anniversary edition of their iconic Companion which has been especially popular with the brand’s worldwide fan base. “The Companion is our most popular and appreciated knife, so I’m not surprised it’s made it to this list,” Björn Ăkerblom of Morakniv tells. “It really is an all-around knife, since it can be used in such a variety of situations by a wide range of users.”
The special edition Companion uses the same Swedish stainless steel and TPE rubber handles as the classic model but adds a flash of gold color to the front and rear bolsters and the “125” etched on the blade. Despite being a commemorative edition, it maintains the high affordability that is a signature of the Companion line.

ABOUT THE COUNTDOWN
The TOP 25 Best Selling Blades of 2017 is based on a ranking of year-to-date dollar sales per day of all non-kitchen cutlery at KnifeCenter.com. The Virginia-based dealer stocks the largest catalog of cutlery in the world and serves the most diverse customer base of any knife retailer.
We chose to remove knives available only at KnifeCenter.com from consideration. KnifeCenter.com Exclusives that would have otherwise made the list include:
the HAP40 Spyderco Delica in Mahogany Pakkawood
the HAP40 Spyderco Endura in Mahogany Pakkawood
the s35vn Orange Southard Positron
the s35vn Tanto Andre De Villiers Beast Flipper
the KnifeCenter.com Svord Peasant Knife Exclusives
Certain knives available for pre-order, namely the ZT 0055, Benchmade 87, and DPx HEST/F Urban were also purposefully excluded even though based on pre-orders it’s clear they are among the year’s most popular.
