RoseCraft Blades Drops Three New Knives This Week

RoseCraft Blades continues to flesh out its fledgling catalog. This week it dropped a trio of new models, all in the mid- to large size class and made from various proven materials.

Waya

The Waya is one of two designs in this batch from RoseCraft head honcho Andy Armstrong. It’s mid-sized but lightweight, with a 3.4-inch blade and a total weight of 3.5 oz. There’s a liner lock set up underneath a two-tone G-10 handle, with a black main portion and a faux bolster that is either white or green, depending on which Waya you want. Both versions have the same blade steel, which is AR-RPM9, the budget-focused particular metallurgy steel created by RoseCraft’s OEM partner, Artisan Cutlery.

MA-11

The Waya is mid-size but gentlemanly; the MA-11, Armstrong’s second new design, leans full on into the tactical vibe. Its snubnose tanto blade is a beast, measuring 3.9 inches in length. There are both flipper and thumb studs in place for opening, as is the case with the other two new knives, but the MA-11 trades in the Waya’s liner lock for a burlier stainless steel frame lock. It is, unsurprisingly, heavier than the Waya too, tipping the scales at 6.8 oz.

Aeris Rex

Hawkins Rose is the man behind the Aeris Rex. The 3.45-inch blade is a harpoonized tanto, just a tad longer than the Waya’s blade and narrow than the MA-11’s. Its handle is comprised of a copper bolster sitting atop scales that are either marbled carbon fiber or G-10; even with the fancier handle material, the steel is still AR-RPM9.

All three knives are available now – but note that they are the first round of a still in-process shipment; if stock is depleted it should be back in relatively short order.
