SHOT Day 2: Case Hops on the PM Steel Train with Bridgeline Series

Case Knives brought the heat – and the modern powder metallurgy – to SHOT 2024, with the reveal of the Bridgeline series, a new line of knives that blends the old and new for some fully-featured, premium modern traditional pieces.

Highbanks

Between the two inaugural Bridgeline series models, the Highbanks leans more into Case’s traditional heritage. It’s a non-locking knife, with a modified wharncliffe blade opened with a fuller-style nail nick. With a visual language borrowed from old fashioned jack knives, this blade looks ready for everyday carry duty, albeit with an edge powered by high-performance CPM-20CV. The fluted bolster also evokes the historical side of things, but the Highbanks still carries like a modern folder with a loop over, deep carry pocket clip.

Longhouse

The Longhouse, meanwhile, moves its design towards the modern, with front flipper-only deployment and a liner lock under the hood. Its almost piratical clip blade is also made from CPM-20CV, and it’s visually linked to the Highbanks with pinched (but not fluted) front bolsters. Given the extra meat on the blade and the lock hardware beneath the scales the Longhouse is a bit heavier than the 2.8 oz. Highbanks, tipping the scales at (a still very reasonable) 3.3 oz.

Evidently, this duo is just the first salvo in a series that Case will continue to grow. Case says that more news on availability will be forthcoming.
