VIDEO: Blade Made with Meteorite
Master bladesmith, Bob Kramer makes kitchen knives that can only be described as legendary. Sharper, stronger, and finer than anything else on the planet, perhaps his secret is extra-terrestrial. In this video featuring chef Anthony Bourdain, Kramer incorporates an iron meteorite into his damascus blade steel. After walking Bourdain through his process from steel forging to final sharpening, they enjoy a meal that only someone as resourceful as a knife maker could prepare: meteorite-smoked salmon.
