We Knife Co. is back at it again, with a slew of forthcoming releases on display just in time for Blade Show West this weekend. The main We line and the Civivi budget label are getting three new models each.
Blocao
The Blocao marks We’s first time working with custom maker Miguel Barbudo. It emulates the sinuous ergonomics and blade shapes that characterize Barbudo’s custom work. The Blocao is a hefty folder, with an imposing 4.21-inch clip point blade made from S35VN; interestingly, it eschews a few of We’s most common opening method and lock in favor of a thumb stud and lockback mechanism.
Reazio
The Reazio is the only new fixed blade amongst the new releases. Designed by Toni Tietzel, it is decidedly non-traditional, with an unadorned, super simple handle running into a drop point blade bedizened with multiple facets and grind surfaces to create an unmistakably futuristic look. The Reazio’s blade is actually a tad shorter than the Blocao, measuring 4.15 inches long. It comes in CPM 20CV steel and is carried in a Kydex sheath.
Hecate
With the Hecate, We now has its first collaboration with a female designer, Alessandra de Santis. The knife itself is a large titanium frame lock flipper, with a 3.81-inch modified wharncliffe blade that, like the Reazio’s, is made from CPM 20CV. A spiderweb-style sculpted pattern on the scales helps keep the Hecate in place during use, and de Santis also outfitted it with a steel glass breaker on the butt end.
Civivi Gets Three Knives
All three of the new Civivi releases have been named by YouTuber Zelrick42, who previously collaborated with We on the Roxi.
The largest of the three collaborations is the Governor, a large no-nonsense folder with a thumb stud opener and 3.86-inch spear point blade. Anyone interested in a similar-sized knife with a flipper might want to check out the Shredder, which also swaps the spear point for a clip. Finally, the aptly-named Little Fiend is smallest of the bunch with a drop point blade that runs just a hair over three inches long. All three knives feature liner locks and D2 semi stainless blade steel.
No hard release date has been given for any of these knives, but We has indicated that their release will be relatively soon.
