Here are Two More Blades from Böker’s Gigantic Fall Drop

There are yet more new knives to talk about from Böker’s massive fall product announcement. This time we’re going to take a look at a folder and a fixed blade: the latter comes from an award-winning custom maker, while the former is an in-house joint that adds to the company’s catalog of modern traditionals.

Celos

The Böker Celos falls neatly into a particular type of modern slipjoint that’s very popular right now. It brings to mind designs like the Real Steel Luna (designed by Jakub Wieczorkiewicz) with its clean aesthetic and bold but uncomplicated, lines. For all its modern vibes, though, the Celos does have something Sodbuster-ish about it, with its snubnosed 2.64-inch drop point blade. Ideal for the usual gamut of everyday chores, it opens with an elongated, fuller-esque groove on both the front and back of its blade.

The three versions of the Celos

There are two versions of the Celos: a standard model, which is priced like most of its Böker Plus brethren, and a Celos LTD that comes decked out with some upmarket materials. The standard model’s blade steel is 440C, and its scales are made from black or jade G-10; meanwhile the LTD model gets bumped up to M390 blade steel and full titanium scales. Both models have the same deep carry pocket clip, but the G-10 model is lighter at 1.16 oz. compared to the Ti version’s 1.48 oz.

Little Rok

The Little Rok fixed blade comes to us from James Helm, a custom knife maker from Texas who you might recognize from his victory on Season Four of Forged in Fire. The Little Rok is a production version of Helms’s small batch knife of the same name, and shares its predecessors general dimensions. The drop point blade runs to 4 inches and is made from from SK-5, a simple carbon steel with lots of hard use cred. The handle is a curvaceous arch with a thick pair of Micarta scales laid over it; a Boltaron sheath completes the package and, in total, the Little Rok weighs 7 oz.

The Little Rok is rugged and uncomplicated

We’ve been chipping away at the fall 2021 Böker releases for a few weeks. We’ve seen a full production version of the Hunter from HEAdesigns, a Barlow fixed blade from Lucas Burnley, and another elegant folder from Kansei Matsuno – and believe us, there’s still more to talk about.

The Celos LTD is available now. As its name suggests, it is limited to just 500 pieces worldwide. The G-10 Celos models and the Little Rock will be available soon.
